Abstract

Sinergy for Solution: Orthodontics and Restorative

In this presentation, we will explore the integration between orthodontics and restorative-prosthodontic dentistry, highlighting how a synergistic approach can significantly improve clinical outcomes. The focus of the presentation will be to demonstrate how the interdisciplinary combined action between restorative intervention and orthodontic treatment is synergistic in both directions. There is a mistaken belief that interdisciplinary treatments are particularly difficult; our aim will be to prove the contrary and show how both the restorative phase and orthodontic treatment can be simplified in achieving the objectives. The key to making this happen is to develop the necessary skills and use appropriate tools for meticulous initial planning that allows for pre-visualization of the final result by outlining the correct timeline. This will maximize the benefits of interdisciplinary action. We will highlight how current digital tools and artificial intelligence play an important role in facilitating this process.

Learning Objectives

After this lecture, you will be able to show how orthodontic treatment can be "simplified" by right restorative planning
After this lecture, you will be able to show how digital tools and artificial intelligence facilitate interdisciplinary process
